The overall objective of the project to effectively combat TB and HIV is to reduce the burden of TB and HIV in Kyrgyzstan by providing universal access to timely and quality diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, introduction of HIV prevention measures, evidence-based, focused primarily on key affected populations, providing treatment, care and support to PLHIV, the creation of an enabling environment and ensure sustainability of programs. Principles and priorities the project is consistent with the international politics, the leadership of who and UNAIDS, and it is integrated in the National programme to combat tuberculosis for 2015-2017 and the Program for the control of HIV / AIDS for 2012-2016 It is combined with the strategy of the Global Fund for HIV and TB, and investment framework for EECA 2014-2017.

The project built on lessons learned during the implementation of previous Global Fund grants and on the basis of existing capacity fully to forward it for the decision of programmatic and financial gaps. The project for the effective control of TB and HIV is an integral element of the National TB Programme and Programmes to control HIV /AIDS, and involves governmental and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Strategy:

Objective 1: to ensure universal access to timely and quality diagnosis and treatment of all forms of tuberculosis including M / XDR-TB

Objective 2 – implement HIV prevention activities, evidence-based and focus primarily on key affected populations and provide treatment, care and support to people living with HIV
