Virological laboratories have been opened in three districts of the Chui region to detect COVID-19

On April 9, 2022, virological laboratories of the Interdistrict Centers of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of Ysyk-Ata, Sokuluk and Zhayyl districts were launched. These laboratories were built within the framework of the project "Emergency Assistance for COVID-19" of the Islamic Development Bank.

The opening was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Uluk-Bek Bekturganov, Head of the Laboratory service of the Department of Disease Prevention of Gossanepidnadzor Aigul Dzhumakanova and heads of Interdistrict Centers of Gossanepidemnadzor.

In total, 10 new PCR laboratories are planned to be built in the republic, currently 5 laboratories are under construction. It is expected that in the future these laboratories, in addition to laboratory diagnostics of coronavirus infection, will diagnose other infections by PCR (influenza, measles, rubella, hepatitis, etc.).

The ILAB information system is connected to these laboratories. The advantages of this ILAB laboratory information system is that the passport data is generated from the GDS information system, which eliminates technical errors. The system enters the patient's passport data itself. Patients/clients can print out and receive the results of PCR analysis themselves without coming to the laboratory, which eliminates unnecessary contact with people. This is convenient for both the laboratory and the patient/client. In addition, the laboratory data is connected to the application "Traveling without COVID-19".
