Employees of sanitary quarantine points are trained in algorithms of actions

Within the framework of the regional project "Improving health protection at the borders in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, in response to the COVID-19 epidemic and other infectious diseases", implemented by the International Organization for Migration with the financial support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the second cascade training for medical and non-medical personnel of entry points.

This cascade training is a continuation of the project's activities to increase the level of knowledge of medical and non-medical personnel about improving health protection at borders in connection with COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, as well as informing about risks.

Within the framework of these cascade trainings, special attention is paid to issues of workplace safety of entry point personnel, as specialists who are on the front line, in order to ensure the safe operation of entry points.

The trainings are conducted by employees of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of Transport, the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute of Retraining and Advanced Training and the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbayev.

In October 2021, representatives of these institutions in the number of 19 people completed 3-day training under the CDC module "Master Training Program", and in December 2021 conducted the first cascade training for medical and non-medical personnel working at entry points in the southern regions of the country.

On February 23, 2022, the second cascade training for medical and non-medical personnel working at entry points in the northern regions of the country started. The participants of the training are represented by regional and district centers for disease prevention and sanitary and epidemiological surveillance, phytosanitary and veterinary services, as well as border and customs departments of Issyk-Kul, Naryn and Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Within the framework of this cascade training, 20 medical staff will be trained under the CDC module "Master Training Program" (Master Training Program) and 20 non-medical staff will also be trained under the CDC module "Identification, isolation, notification, Support" (RING).
