Kyrgyzstan has started developing a national tuberculosis control program

The strategic session on the development of the national program "tuberculosis-6" brought together representatives of all interested parties, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.

The overall goal of the session is to create a policy document regulating the country's activity in the fight against tuberculosis for the period up to 2026.

First of all, there should be a critical assessment of the five previous programs: what we have achieved, what we have not achieved, what we have not achieved, goals have been set that would otherwise be impossible, or some mechanism has not been fully developed. From these positions, we will start developing the Tuberculosis-6 program, Director of the National Center of Phthisiology Madamin Karataev said.- Further, clear goals and objectives, specific measures should be prepared with mandatory indication of funding sources, necessary resources and management systems. The most important thing is that the staff is the party that does all this. Indicators of reliable evaluation have also been established, according to which the effectiveness of the program implementation will be evaluated.

An important part, according to the participants of the session, is that the national tuberculosis-6 program should include opportunities for proper response to situations such as a pandemic of a new kind of corona virus.
