USAID Tuberculosis Patient Support Project Helps Return 147 Patients to Treatment
From June 2020, the project began the selection and case management of patients from the following categories: TB patients lost to follow-up, TB patients at risk of interruption from treatment, TB patients who did not start treatment.
At the moment, 101 TB patients are under the supervision of the project nurses. Despite the difficult epidemiological situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Support for TB Patients project continues to provide assistance to beneficiaries. An individual approach to each TB patient, social and psychological support helps patients on their way to recovery. 37 patients with tuberculosis have already successfully completed treatment, 23 patients have been transferred to FGPs for further observation.
