A new call center for self-diagnosis 118 has been opened in Bishkek, where 40 operators will work around the clock.

"In the context of the resumption of economic activity in the city of Bishkek, there is an increase in infected and contact persons. Cases of self-abuse have become especially frequent, the ambulance service does not cope with the appeals of citizens. There are not enough beds in hospitals. All this is due to the growth of the pandemic, the number of patients with pneumonia and SARS," Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov said.

According to him, on behalf of the Prime Minister, a new call center for self-diagnosis 118 was opened, which was deployed on the basis of secondary school No. 2.

"The move is associated with an increase in call center operators. 40 medical operators will be on duty here day and night. Call center operators are now becoming doctors, clinical residents, volunteer doctors. Consultant operators immediately undergo detailed instruction on the algorithms of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, depending on the diagnosis," he said.
