On May 22, 2020, during a regular meeting of the Committee, the members of the Committee approved an application to the GF for the fight against COVID-19 in the amount of about 2.5 million US dollars. Earlier, a Working Group was created, which, together with representatives of the Ministry of Health, was engaged in calculating the needs of the health system in connection with the coronavirus epidemic in the country. An action plan was prepared and the application budget was approved.

A country application to combat COVID-19 should be sent to the Global Fund no later than May 30, 2020.
