Meeting with representatives of the GIZ/Backup Health and "curatio" in the office of the Secretariat

Meeting with representatives of the GIZ/Backup Health and "curatio" to discuss the implementation of the transition Plan for government funding under the National Programme on HIV for the years 2017-2021 took place in the office of the Secretariat of the Committee of KSOS.

The participants of the meeting discussed the beginning of the Project GIZ/Backup Health to provide technical support to the three Central Asian countries (Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan). Project Manager Ms. Gotsadze T. noted that the Project consists of 4 components: 1. Strengthening the transition plans of the country 2. Strengthening national capacities to monitor the transition plan, 3. Support countries in the matter of amendment of national regulation with the aim of improving access to quality medicines and products healthcare and 4. Support countries in developing mechanisms of social order.

In the first component, recommendations will be developed to improve transition plans and sustainability of programmes for HIV and TB, the proposed monitoring and evaluation for the implementation of transition plans and identify priority topics for research in support of the monitoring of the transition plan. The second component assumes the training of local research teams in data collection and facilitating data analysis. In addition, recommendations for priority activities to be included in a new application to GF.
