Минздрав КР и ВОЗ подписали Двухгодичное соглашение о сотрудничестве на 2022-2023 годы
From March 16 to 19, 2022, Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev is on a working trip to the Republic of Turkey, where he will take part in a meeting on health and migration issues "Joint formation of the concept of health protection of refugees and migrants".
Within the framework of this meeting, on March 16, the Minister met with the Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge, where the parties signed a two-year cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the WHO Regional Office for Europe for 2022-2023.
This Two-year Cooperation Agreement is a practical framework for cooperation, agreed upon in the process of successive consultations between the national health authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the WHO Regional Office for Europe, and with the common goal of achieving the objectives of the Thirteenth WHO General Work Programme for 2019-2023, the European Work Programme for 2021-2025. "Joint actions to improve health" and the National Health Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main priority areas of cooperation: Ensuring universal health coverage (HEHS), Protecting against health emergencies and promoting health and well-being.
At the meeting, the parties noted that despite the progress made in the implementation of the previous agreement, a number of strategic challenges remain.
In general, the country is facing serious health problems related to both non-communicable and infectious diseases. Regarding the coverage of health services, the health system still has serious gaps. Despite the increase in salaries for family doctors, remote areas of the republic still face an insufficient level of staffing for medical workers.
The healthcare system faces ambitious tasks to strengthen healthcare information systems and digitalize them.
"Our task is to continue strengthening the capacity of primary health care, improving early detection and response to incidents in the field of public health through the introduction of digital solutions.
These tasks will allow us to move forward effectively towards ensuring a healthy life and improving well-being for all people of all ages," said Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
