World AIDS Day

Всемирный день борьбы со СПИДом

Dear members and alternates of the Committee on HIV / AIDS and TB,

World AIDS Day is celebrated annually on the 1st of December. People around the world come together to show support for people living with or affected by HIV and remember those who died from the effects of the infection. AIDS Day, December 1, aims to stop these dire statistics and slow the spread of the epidemic around the world.

Many countries of the world, not only on the first of December, but also before and after it, carry out all kinds of activities aimed at combating AIDS. The world famous symbol of the pandemic today is known to most of the population as the red ribbon. On the day of the fight against AIDS, December 1, millions of people wear it on their clothes as a sign that they understand how dire the consequences of this disease can be.

This date annually calls on the entire world community not only to remember this still incurable disease, but also to be tolerant of those who are already carriers of this disease. And, the main thing that everyone living on the planet should understand for themselves is that it should be understood that prevention is very important in the fight for health.

In this connection, dear members and alternates of the Committee on HIV / AIDS and TB, I want to express my deep gratitude in the fight against HIV / AIDS and TB, for the work and efforts put into it.

Sincerely,

Chairman of the Board of the Committee on Combating HIV / AIDS and Tuberculosis at KSHP U.B. Bekturganov
