President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov got acquainted with the work in the tuberculosi

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov today, December 05, 2019, got acquainted with the ongoing work in the tuberculosis service of Kyrgyzstan.

During his visit to the National Center of Phthisiology, the President got acquainted with medical information systems that automate the registration, processing and recording of patient data, their treatment, prescribed laboratory tests and the results of these studies. Information systems help to make operational and strategic decisions based on real analytical data.

Medical information systems implemented with the technical assistance of USAID Kyrgyz Republic helped to significantly improve the work in the tuberculosis service, which not only facilitated the work of medical workers, but, most importantly, allowed to improve the quality of treatment of tuberculosis patients.

Director of the National Center of Phthisiology Bolot Maykanaev stressed that as part of the digitalization process, the information system of the tuberculosis service was integrated with other state electronic systems (GRS, Social Fund, FOMS, Ministry of Health) through the SMEV "Tunduk".
