ТУБЕРКУЛЕЗ ИЗЛЕЧИМ! ТЕПЕРЬ БЫСТРЕЕ
As part of the reform of the anti-tuberculosis service in Kyrgyzstan, the country introduced new regimens for the treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis (short-term and individual) with the use of modern anti-tuberculosis drugs. According to the WHO recommendations, the introduction of new regimens began in 2017, according to the preliminary results of which the effectiveness of treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis in the short-term regime was 79%. By the way, in the WHO recommendations, this figure is indicated as at least 75%.

Coordinator for drug-resistant tuberculosis in Jalal-Abad region Meniere Ibragimova: “Tuberculosis is curable! - I want to emphasize this again and again. And since 2017, in many cases, the treatment has become shorter. It is already obvious that the new regimens for treating tuberculosis, introduced in Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), have made it possible to almost halve the duration of treatment for drug-resistant tuberculosis. New treatment regimens are based on modern anti-tuberculosis drugs, the use of which, on the one hand, is easier to tolerate by patients, since they have fewer side effects, on the other hand, they significantly reduce the cost of treatment.
